Kentucky

While passing through Kentucky we decided to go caving. Welcome to Mammoth Cave, the largest cavern system open to the public in the USA. It ranks #1 on all tourists sights as the most popular attraction in Kentucky. While in this State I learned their grass glows blue, which is how they get their nickname, blue grass. The folks of Kentucky love their caves, the out doors, and its very family friendly. I wasn't impressed by their alcohol ban. Many counties in the South have made alcohol illegal. I don't understand why, I would think this law makes people feel they need to make moonshine which is much worse on your system. The State can't tax moonshine.

Sad Sams gas and convenient store.

We got a deal for $56 dollars a night. We only stayed in Kentucky for 1 day. Their were a lot of family attractions and caves.

Sahara Steak House. Its a decent steak house owned by a state cop and his family. The staff was nice, they could have had some music playing.

 National Park.

 Caving....how I love caving.

A very wonderful guide. He acted like Ned Flander from the Simpsons which was cool. He really has a lot of passion for his job which was sweet.

Hundreds of years old. These are petrified water tubes made from wood. We have lost the knowledge on how to make this in the future.

There is a river down there. The Green River.

The place is not cold, its comfy.

Further into the caves we go.

 People crawl through this.
