Looking for a New Home in United States of America

So here I am again. Many of you know me, some of you are new to the game. My wife and I are digital nomads. The world is our play ground, at heart I'm a wanderer. I make no apologies if I sound arrogant. This is my blog and if you don't like it you can go somewhere else. What is a wanderer? Not a drifter. Nor a squatter. I am undefined, but yet I am whole. We are simply middle class folk who follow the arts. My other travel blogs can be found throughout the internet, or somewhere on this blog. Why do I share my life with the world? Easy answer. I enjoy educating but I'm not a teacher. My heart beats to the philosophers drum. I am a social democrat who believes in the people. It doesn't matter if your American or a foreigner. Your skin color and sex do not matter either. I'm a equal opportunist. What matters is that you have a desire to make this world a better place. It doesn't matter what your profession is, you could be a factory worker, a cop, a professor, a fast food worker, or a student... or anything else for that matter. Each and every one of us contribute in what USA is today. I believe in what America ought to stand for, which is Democracy. When I say Democracy, I do not mean Democrats or Republicans. I think labels and party politics is stupid. In my mind, democracy is about the common person, and all common people have worth. My ancestors are from Trier Germany. Home of Karl Marx. I have traveled the world seeing what others believe and tasted their unique styles. Many nights I tuned in to both socialist and communist radio stations in Europe. At one point I was even stuck in areas where Christians and Muslims were killing each other. Needless to say I became a human rights activist. For what purpose I will never truly understand, outside of one point. If I can make a difference to a few then I helped make this world a better place. My words are neither light or dark but a mix. I say what I see, and I don't play office politics. What is my worth? I am a researcher and a writer. My pride work is called 2014: The Way the World Ends. Its a post apocalyptic novel which will be published later this year. Its also about zombies. In 2007 I was a intern and a researcher for the U.S. Congress in Capital Hill and helped write a American History book and a foreign affairs article. I met a few world leaders including the Dela Lama. I research for both government and professors, my skills are for hire. I drank with the former Arch Bishop of Detroit in Berlin and have roamed Concentration Camps in Germany. I even found a gas chamber which wasn't supposed to be real, but that is another story. I have a masters in Public Administration. My wife is a successful digital artist. Her work can be found at madspiderstudio, her name is Kelly Carter. My brilliant companion spends a lot of time drawing and working from home, or should I say, where our travels take us. We were married in Christ Church New Zealand (the city was later destroyed by a earthquake), lived in Costa Rica for 6 months, stayed in Spain for 3 months; and the list goes on and on. I give credit to Jehovah, but I am not a bible thump-er. I'm merely a reformed Jew out of choice. My philosophy is to each our own and to live and let live. Paradoxically, many say I remind them of Eric Cartmen from South Park. It makes me chuckle. I took third in a chess tournament in Vienna in 2002, was the president of NMU's chess club back in the day, and ranked 2nd within Congresses chess team/club ans was filmed by TBS. What can I say, I am a strategist and can often see the bigger picture. Both our moms asked us to continue to share our travels with the world. Why not? Sometimes I talk and other times its just pictures. In January of 2012 my wife decided we needed to find a permanent home for her daughter to finish high school in North America. Personally I would have picked London or Australia but whatever. I'm a good sport. This blog is all about USA. One state at a time.
